Ecker Hill Middle School: Inspiring and supporting all students equitably to achieve their academic and social potential.

Ecker Hill serves a population of 700+ students in 6th & 7th grade.  It offers course options that include foreign language, dual language immersion, computer science, career & technical skills, music, art, leadership and a gifted program.  With a 1:1 student to computer ratio, the effective use of technology is at the forefront of teaching and learning in all classrooms.  With the timber wolf as their mascot, students find a sense of belonging and community in their advisory classes and other school groups, thus supporting the school motto: Stronger as a Pack!  

The School Year:
The school year is comprised of 180 school days, approximately 90 school days per semester, 45 school days per quarter.

Student Course Load:
Full-time students have eight classes per term. School is operated on a block system, with four classes each day, alternating daily and referred to as Blue and White days. Class periods are 90-minutes each.

EHMS curriculum and course requirements follow the standards outlined by the Utah State Office of Education. Students in 7th grade also begin the College and Career Ready process to discuss academic pathways and transition to Treasure Mountain Jr. High.
