National Junior Honor Society At EHMS.
NJHS is an organization that encourages and recognizes academic achievement while developing other essential characteristics. The ideals of scholarship, service, leadership, and character are important as we prepare future leaders for our global society. Sixth- and seventh-graders are invited to participate.
Membership is an honor and a commitment. Students will apply for membership and will be admitted after demonstrating the four ideals. Students will be given opportunities to serve their community and engage in activities that will support them in their quest to become members.
We will meet several times throughout the year, offering group service projects, as well as school-based service projects. Students will be required to complete 10 hours of service prior to June. Students must maintain at least an average of 3 in all of their classes . We are setting a high standards in hopes of making membership more meaningful for students.
Our induction date has been set for May 21st in the Ecker Hill auditorium. An invitation with times for each grade level will come home in April.
Please don’t hesitate to contact one of us if you have questions or concerns. We look forward to a great year of NJHS!
