Athletics

AFTER SCHOOL CLUB
Sponsors: Snyderville Basin Recreation staff; see front office, counselor or administrator for information
Meets: Daily, Mon. – Thurs. after school 3:45 – 4:45. Description: Games, fun and fitness in the gym and outdoors.

PARK CITY AQUATICS TEAM
Sponsors: Aquatics Center Director Todd Klarich and PCAT Staff. Meets: Daily, after school 4:45 – 5:45. Description: Developmental program from pre-competitive to competitive club levels. Contact the Aquatics Center staff for more information.

Citizenship

ONE OR NONE CLUB
Sponsor: Ms. Thomas, Mr. P.
Meets: 3 x each year.
Description: Recognition for students who have one or none tardies to classes.

T-WOLF ENVIRONMENT CLUB
Sponsors: Mr. Proffit, Ms.Riepen. Meets: Six times during the school year, during lunches + one or two special activities outside of school. Description: The T-Wolf Environment Club is a partnership with Recycle Utah.

HONOR ROLL
Sponsor: PTO, EHIMS Office.
Recognition certificate each quarter for students who have a grade point average of 3.5 or better. (Can you say ice cream!?)

BUILDER’S CLUB
Sponsor: Ms. Shepherd; PCHS Student Leaders
Meets: Monthly after school.
Description: Builders Club kids are dedicated to service in the community. Members participate in various activities in the school and community setting. (Kiwanis Club)

PEER MEDIATORS
Sponsors: Ms. Shepherd, Ms. Amendola. Meets: On occasion during school year; one full day off campus training. Description: Peer Mediators help classmates resolve small issues before they become big problems. Limited enrollment - selected by nomination and application.

STUDENT COUNCIL
Sponsors: Ms. Hales and Ms. Thompson. Description: Student Council is an elected leadership position. Campaigns and elections are held in the fall of the school year. Student Council plans Spirit Week and other school activities. Student Council members may be called upon to assume leadership roles in the school community during the school year

OUTSTANDING EFFORT
Quarterly recognition for a few exceptional students who’ve shown tenacity, diligence and determination in all classes.

PEER TUTORS
Sponsor: Ms. Schaub. Meets: Every other day during school. Description: Kids enroll in a service period supporting the needs of Ecker Hill’s special population students. Program enrollment limited by application.

Cultural

INTERNATIONAL CLUB
Sponsor: Ms. Muñoz
Meets: Quarterly after school.
Description: International Club students eat, dance, sing and have a lot of fun celebrating world cultures.

Performing & Visual Arts

6TH/7TH ORCHESTRA
Sponsors: Mr. Werner, Mr. Harrington. Meets: During the school day. Description: Each orchestra performs several evening concerts for family and community. Depending on interest, the EHIMS Orchestras may travel to local festivals or competitions.

6th/7th BAND
Sponsor: Mr. Werner
Meets: During the school day.
Description: Each Band performs evening concerts for community and family. Depending on interest, the EHIMS Bands may travel to local festivals or competitions.

JAZZ BAND
Sponsor: Mr. Werner
Meets: 8:00 two or three times per week.
Description: Jazz Band is open to students who enroll in Band or Orchestra. Jazz Band is a smaller ensemble. Enrollment may be limited by player tryouts.

EHIMS DRAMA – Fall or Spring Plays.
Sponsor: Ms. Webber
Meets: Before and after school. Description: Tryouts are open to all Ecker Hill students – need not be enrolled in Drama classes at Ecker. A variety of acting and non-acting positions are available with each play.

EHIMS CHOIR
Sponsor: Ms. Webber
Meets: During the school day.
Description: The Ecker Hill Choir performs evening concerts for community and family. Depending on interest, the Choir may travel to local festivals or competitions.

ARTS KIDS
Sponsors: Arts Kids Partners; see counselor or administrator. Meets: Weekly, after school, 3:45 – 5:45. Description: Kids work with local artists in a variety of media. Communication and expression are an important part of the program.

Scholastic

NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY
Sponsor: Ms. Amendola, Ms. Shepherd. Meets: Once or twice per year, after school. Occasional meetings during lunch. Description: NJHS is a national society of recognition for students who strive to be well-rounded in areas of academics, character, and service.

ECKER ACADEMIC LEAGUE
Sponsor: Ms. Cier, Ms.Eisenbarth. Meets: Tuesdays during lunches, student garage.
Description: Academic League is a fast-paced, team centered quiz competition. Test your knowledge of science, math, social studies and current events!

HOMEWORK CLUB
Sponsor: Ms. Anderson, Ms. Evans. Meets: 3:45 – 4:45, Monday – Thursday, activity bus available at 4:45.
Description: Homework Club is for all Ecker Hill kids who want a time and a place to stay caught up with school studies. A certified teacher is available for Math tutoring. Computer assisted instruction is available for reading improvement. Volunteer tutor hours available for kids who enjoy helping others with their school work.
