Important Dates:

*February 1st..........Obtain application from Office or Advisory Teacher
*February 8th.............Applications must be turned into Office
*February 11th-15th........Applicants are reviewed by Faculty Council
*February 26th.........Applicants are notified of acceptance into NJHS
*March (date not yet set).......Induction Ceremony

6th Grade: All students with 3.7 or higher GPA after the 2nd quarter will be eligible to become a member of NJHS. The students with a 3.7 or higher GPA will pick up an application from their advisory teacher or the office right after the 2nd quarter report cards go home. All returned applications will be reviewed by a committee to determine if each student has high standards in leadership, character, citizenship, and service. After the committee meets, each student that satisfies the criteria will be notified of acceptance into the NJHS. A date at the end of March will be set for a ceremony of induction.

7th Grade: Any student who was inducted into the NJHS last year in 6th grade will continue to be a member through 7th grade as long as she/he keeps the high standards of leadership, character, citizenship, and service. Meetings will be held throughout the year and some 7th graders will be asked to help with the 6th grade induction ceremony.

Any student who was not in NJHS for 6th grade and wishes to apply in 7th grade will follow the same schedule as the 6th graders. This means they can apply after the second quarter if their GPA is 3.7 or higher.
