Important Dates for 2017-18 7th Grade Students and Parents

February 13 & 14: Counselors present 8th grade registration information during EHMS CTE classes.
Students will receive their 8th grade registration forms. The TMJH course catalog is online: > Registration

March 1 & 2: Ecker Hill 7th-graders register for 8th grade classes in CTE. Registration forms must be complete and signed by a parent!

April 24: New Student & Parent Meet, Greet, and Tour 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm - TMJH Forum

Important Dates for 2017-18 6th Grade Students and Parents

March 16 - 6th-graders get their registration forms in Advisory. *Parents, please carefully review form with your student; form must be signed by both parent and student.
March 29 & 30 - Current 6th grade students register, by computer, for 2018-2019 classes
during Social Studies. (White day classes 3/29 & Blue day classes 3/30.)
May 7 - 5:00 to 6:00 pm, JRES parent/student orientation/tour at EHMS
May 8 - 5:00 to 6:00 pm, PPES parent/student orientation/tour at EHMS
May 9 - 5:00 to 6:00 pm, MPES/TSES parent/student orientation/tour at EHMS

'A Night at the Museum' Evening

March 28, 4:30-8:00 pm

Middle level students have unique needs and capabilities and are truly caught in the middle between childhood and adulthood. Students at Ecker Hill hold the key to much of what they know and are able to do. They understand their strengths and they can identify the things that are difficult for them. Too often they are the last people consulted in evaluating their own learning.

This spring we are holding a ‘A Night at the Museum’ evening in place of regular conferences. This will provide all of our students an opportunity to showcase their work and allow them to discuss their learning. ‘A Night at the Museum’ at Ecker Hill will focus on students and their growth. There are three main purposes for this evening:
1. Show evidence of student learning.
2. Provide opportunity for students to reflect on their learning.
3. Foster and promote responsible, respectful, and productive relationships
among school, family and community.

We are excited to see you all on March 28. ‘A Night at the Museum’ begins at 4:30pm and concludes at 8:00pm. Students have worked hard and are proud of their work.

Conferencia de Padres de familia “Una Noche en el Museo:”

Estudiantes de 6to y 7mo grado están en un proceso de desarrollo único. Los estudiantes de Ecker Hill entienden sus fortalezas y pueden identificar sus dificultades. Muchas veces los estudiantes en si son las últimas personas en asesorar su proceso de aprendizaje.

Esta conferencia de padres de familia será diferente, “Una Noche en el Museo,” es un espacio para que el estudiante pueda compartir y mostrar su aprendizaje hasta ahora. “Una Noche en el Museo” tiene como enfoque el crecimiento del estudiante en la escuela. Los tres puntos importantes para esta noche son:
1. Mostrar evidencia del aprendizaje del estudiante
2. Darle la oportunidad de reflexionar sobre su aprendizaje
3. Fortalecer y promover la responsabilidad y el respecto entre la escuela, la familia, y la comunidad.

Nos emociona ver a las familias de Ecker Hill el día 28 de Marzo. “Una Noche en el Museo” inicia a las 4:30 pm y concluye a las 8:00 pm. Los estudiantes han trabajado mucho y están orgullosos de su participación. ¡No falten!

WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students)

WATCH D.O.G.S. is a program that positively impacts the school by the committed involvement of fathers and father-figures in student’s life. Our goal is to have you spend at least one day this year at the school to be a positive male role model and to provide an extra set of eyes and ears.

Scheduling Options:

  • All day: 8:30 am to 3:40 pm (Monday-Thursday) or 8:30am to 1:35pm (Friday)
  • Advisory M-W-F: 8:45 am to 9:15 am
  • During lunch: 11:30 am to 12:50 pm (Monday-Thursday) or 11:00 am to 12:40 pm (Friday)
  • After school activities: 3:30pm to 5:00pm
  • Anytime that is convenient for you. Just specify your timeframe when you sign up.

Becoming an EHMS Watch D.O.G. is easy! Just complete the Registration Form and then click on the WATCH D.O.G.S. link to sign up.

School Fee and Lunch Payments

School fees are handled through the TMJH Main Office. School fees can be paid at e-Funds for Schools with a credit card, checking account or debit card. You can set up and maintain your own e-Funds account. The school will never have access to your banking information. You have the flexibility of making payments any time from home and you even have the option to make recurring payments or installments.

Your child may qualify for free or reduced price meals. Assistance is available to those who qualify. Please bring in a completed application (en español.) Note: Proof of need must be attached to the application before it can be processed.

Parent Laptop Orientation

Parent Electronic Device Orientation

All EHMS students will receive a district-owned laptop for the school year. Parents are required to view the Electronic Device Orientation before the student will receive his or her computer. Parents may watch the orientation from home, or at the school. Directions are shown below:

  3. Select "New User - I do not have a Personal ID" and click Next
  4. Enter Organization ID as 70308p and then click Submit
  5. Enter Your Preferred Personal ID (recommended as First Name and Last Name with no spaces) and click Submit
  6. Complete the following fields keeping in mind:
    • This orientation only needs to be completed once per family if the boxes are filled out correctly
    • First Name (Legal) and Last Name reference the parent going through the Laptop Orientation
    • School, Student First Name, Student Last Name, Student Grade Level reference the OLDEST student belonging to this family in the Park City School District
    • Additional Student Names references all other students in grades 6-12 belonging to this family in Park City School District. Please use legal names and enter the school in parenthesis, i.e. Barney Rubble (EHMS), Fred Flintstone (PCHS).
    • Email Address reference the parent going through the Electronic Device Orientation
  7. Click Submit after filling out the above fields in the appropriate manner
  8. Click View next to Electronic Device Orientation - Park City in the Tutorial Progress>Required box and follow the directions of the tutorial (Si lo quiere en español se encuentran por el Optional caja)

Logout after finishing the tutorial. Make sure you have reviewed and electronically signed both the Internet Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) and the Electronic Device User Agreement (EDUA) during the online registration process. Students may not receive their laptop until all three pieces (Orientation, AUP, and EDUA) have been received and recorded by school officials.


Parent PowerSchool Access

To set up a Parent PowerSchool Account, parents will need their student's parent access ID and password. (This information is mailed home the first week of September.) Parents can link all of their students to one Parent Account, all you need is the parent access ID and password for each of your students. For instructions, see the Parent Single Sign-On Instruction Sheet.

If you lose, or didn't receive, your Parent Account set-up instructions, contact the school. For security reasons, we will not give out account information by phone, fax, or email. Logins can be picked up in person or mailed to the home address we have on file. PowerSchool logins are reset every summer to protect your privacy.

With a Parent PowerSchool Account, parents will have access to a special Email Notifications page where they can sign up for automatic progress reports. Because of this exclusive feature, it is highly recommended that parents keep their account ID and password confidential and not share it with their student. Students get their own ID and password when they pick up their laptop.
